Episode 99: Faith on the Pin — Surrender, Discipline & Purpose with Chris Hamm
Wednesday Feb 04, 2026
Wednesday Feb 04, 2026
In this episode of the Wild Faith Podcast, we sit down with Chris Hamm, President and CEO of HHA Sports and founder of HHA USA, for a deep conversation about faith, discipline, leadership, and surrender.
Chris shares the early roots of HHA Sports a family-founded archery company built on precision, craftsmanship, and integrity. Growing up in the shop formed more than business skills. It built patience, discipline, and a deep understanding that faithfulness in small things matters.
We talk about stepping into leadership and carrying a legacy, but the conversation moves deeper into Chris’s personal faith journey. He shares what it looked like to surrender control and fully give his life to Christ, especially in seasons where outward success did not equal inward peace.
Sobriety became part of that surrender choosing clarity and daily obedience over self-reliance. What once felt like giving something up became gaining something far greater. It reshaped his leadership and restored depth to his relationships.
We also touch on the philosophy behind HHA’s single-pin sights and how preparation, simplicity, and trust in the moment mirror our walk with God. Prepare faithfully. Release the outcome.
Chris shares the heart behind HHA USA and how serving veterans and first responders through archery, community, and the outdoors has become faith lived out in action.
This episode is about discipline, surrender, restoration, and aiming your life at what truly matters.

Episode 98: Sacred Grounds and Spring Gobbles
Wednesday Jan 28, 2026
Wednesday Jan 28, 2026
In this episode, we tackle a hard truth: Christian values are increasingly in the crosshairs of modern culture. From churches being interrupted during worship to growing hostility toward biblical truth, we talk plainly about why interrupting a Christian Mass is not protest—it’s a warning sign. We discuss why believers must stay spiritually alert, grounded in Scripture, and unafraid to stand firm.
From there, we shift gears into the woods—talking spring turkey season outlook, plans, and goals—before wrapping with life updates and upcoming trips. Faith, culture, hunting, and real life—all in one honest conversation.

Episode 97: Formed in the Quiet (Why God Meets Men in the Wilderness Before Using Them)
Wednesday Jan 21, 2026
Wednesday Jan 21, 2026
In a world that never stops talking, God often does His deepest work in silence.
From Moses in the desert, to David on the hillsides, to Elijah in exhaustion, and even Jesus in the wilderness, Scripture shows a clear pattern: God forms men in isolation before He uses them in public.
This episode explores why God removes noise before giving direction, why the wilderness is not punishment but preparation, and why stillness is so uncomfortable for modern men. We unpack how solitude exposes what’s inside us, strips away false identity, and builds humility, obedience, and trust that can’t be learned in crowds.
If you’ve ever felt overlooked, stuck, burned out, or unsure of what God is doing in your life, this conversation is for you. The wilderness may not be where you wanted to be—but it may be exactly where God is shaping you for what’s next.

Episode 95: Skills Worth Passing Down
Wednesday Jan 07, 2026
Wednesday Jan 07, 2026
Who taught you what you know?
Most of the skills that shaped us weren’t learned in classrooms or from instruction manuals. They were passed down—through time spent together, by watching, doing, and being present.
In this episode, we reflect on the parents, grandparents, and mentors who invested in us without ever calling it a lesson. We talk about faith that was modeled at home, values learned through consistency, and outdoor skills shaped by responsibility, patience, and respect for God’s creation.
We dive into how hunting, fishing, and time outdoors taught us humility and trust. Why some lessons only stick when someone teaches us well, then steps back. And what it looks like to pass on faith, skills, and confidence without controlling the outcome.
This conversation is about gratitude for what we’ve been given—and the responsibility we now carry to pass it on.
Because in the end, our kids won’t just remember what we said. They’ll follow what we lived.

Evan Bungum
Growing up in SE Minnesota, my love for hunting and fishing was nurtured by my dad. From turkeys to whitetails, those early days shaped my passion for the outdoors. As years passed, my focus shifted from hunting to storytelling and capturing my adventures. Through outdoor media, I embarked on unforgettable journeys, driven by a desire to inspire others to appreciate God's creation.
Fred Bear's wisdom resonates deeply within me, guiding my steps as I traverse the wilderness with reverence for its inhabitants. My mission now is clear: to share the beauty of nature and the light of faith with the world. With each story I share, I hope to ignite a spark in others, encouraging them to find joy in both the wonders of creation and the embrace of faith.
Supported by a loving wife and a community of kindred spirits, I feel blessed to live a life so deeply intertwined with the great outdoors. Each day brings new adventures, new stories to tell, and I eagerly await the next chapter in this journey of faith and exploration.

Luke Timmons
Hailing from southeastern Minnesota, my roots run deep, grounded in the rich soil of a small-town upbringing. Sundays were spent in the pews of our local church, surrounded by the warmth of family and the embrace of faith, before venturing into the woods in pursuit of whitetail deer. Over time, my love for the outdoors expanded to encompass a diverse array of hunting and fishing pursuits. Yet, amidst the ebb and flow of life's adventures, it is my Christian faith that serves as my compass, shaping me into a dedicated father, a devoted husband, a respectful son, and a loyal friend. It's the principles instilled by my faith that guide my actions and relationships, illuminating the path towards growth, love, and service to others. Through this podcast, it is my goal to spread the word of God and ignite a fervent passion for fellow believers to embrace their Christian faith through the beauty and serenity of the outdoors.
