Friday Fuel: Forgive and Be Free
Friday Oct 10, 2025
Friday Oct 10, 2025
In this Friday Fuel, Evan shares a powerful reminder that forgiveness isn’t forgetting—it’s freedom. Drawing from Colossians 3:13, he unpacks how letting go of bitterness opens the door to peace, healing, and purpose. Life is short, and we weren’t created to live chained to anger or resentment. God calls us to forgive just as He forgave us—to hand over the weight, walk in grace, and live free.

Episode 83: Tracking and Hunting Deer in October with Shane Simpson
Wednesday Oct 08, 2025
Wednesday Oct 08, 2025
This week on Wild Faith, I’m joined by Shane Simpson — hunter, tracker, and founder of TRAKR — for a deep dive into early season bowhunting and deer recovery. We kick things off catching up on life and hearing about Shane’s first hunts of the year before getting into his background — from growing up hunting with family to tracking wounded deer each season with his dog, Callie.
Shane shares insight on early-season whitetail patterns, the biggest mistakes bowhunters make in October, and how things like pressure and temperature affect movement. We also talk about how tracking has changed his approach to hunting, his dive into traditional archery, and what’s new with the TRAKR app that’s helping connect hunters and trackers across the country.
If you’re into bowhunting, whitetails, deer tracking, or learning how tech and tradition come together in the woods, you’ll love this one.

Are you ready to give up? Feeling overwhelmed, burned out, and like the fight is too heavy to keep going? You’re not alone. Life has a way of piling on stress, pressure, and pain — but the truth is, God has not called you to quit. He has called you to endure, to rise, and to find your strength in Him.
In this Friday Fuel, we dive deep into what it really means to keep going when life gets overwhelming. We’ll talk about the battles every man faces, why quitting feels easier, and how the enemy uses exhaustion to try and break us down. But more importantly, we’ll look at how Jesus invites us to lay our burdens at His feet and receive a strength that never runs dry.

Evan Bungum
Growing up in SE Minnesota, my love for hunting and fishing was nurtured by my dad. From turkeys to whitetails, those early days shaped my passion for the outdoors. As years passed, my focus shifted from hunting to storytelling and capturing my adventures. Through outdoor media, I embarked on unforgettable journeys, driven by a desire to inspire others to appreciate God's creation.
Fred Bear's wisdom resonates deeply within me, guiding my steps as I traverse the wilderness with reverence for its inhabitants. My mission now is clear: to share the beauty of nature and the light of faith with the world. With each story I share, I hope to ignite a spark in others, encouraging them to find joy in both the wonders of creation and the embrace of faith.
Supported by a loving wife and a community of kindred spirits, I feel blessed to live a life so deeply intertwined with the great outdoors. Each day brings new adventures, new stories to tell, and I eagerly await the next chapter in this journey of faith and exploration.

Luke Timmons
Hailing from southeastern Minnesota, my roots run deep, grounded in the rich soil of a small-town upbringing. Sundays were spent in the pews of our local church, surrounded by the warmth of family and the embrace of faith, before venturing into the woods in pursuit of whitetail deer. Over time, my love for the outdoors expanded to encompass a diverse array of hunting and fishing pursuits. Yet, amidst the ebb and flow of life's adventures, it is my Christian faith that serves as my compass, shaping me into a dedicated father, a devoted husband, a respectful son, and a loyal friend. It's the principles instilled by my faith that guide my actions and relationships, illuminating the path towards growth, love, and service to others. Through this podcast, it is my goal to spread the word of God and ignite a fervent passion for fellow believers to embrace their Christian faith through the beauty and serenity of the outdoors.
